What Is Jogg Mini?
Jogg Mini is a gamified artificial intelligence and machine learning learning app built by MokingBird for children and young learners aged 5 to 15. The app turns AI education into a guided adventure across ten themed learning worlds, short quizzes, Daily Quest, Arcade, parent tasks, classroom tasks, teacher quizzes, badges, certificates, and a transparent Star/Gem/Tier reward system.
The goal is simple: help young learners understand the technology that is already shaping their schools, games, search engines, phones, creative tools, and future workplaces. Jogg Mini does not treat AI as a mysterious black box or as a topic reserved for older students. It introduces AI ideas early, in language children can understand, while still respecting the seriousness of safety, privacy, fairness, data quality, prompts, agents, model behavior, and responsible use.
Jogg Mini is designed as a learning companion, not a social network. The product is ad-free, does not sell personal data, and separates guest, child, teen, parent, co-parent, and teacher roles. Children under 13 do not create their own cloud account. Instead, a parent or guardian creates and manages the child profile, controls key settings, and can remove or delete the child profile through the parent dashboard.
Why Jogg Mini Exists
Children are now meeting AI long before they can explain what it is. They see recommendation systems, image filters, homework helpers, voice assistants, chatbots, robots, smart toys, search summaries, and automated decisions. Without structured learning, AI can feel like magic. Jogg Mini helps children replace that confusion with practical understanding.
The app focuses on AI literacy rather than coding syntax. A learner does not need to write Python to understand that models learn from examples, that data can be biased, that prompts matter, that robots need sensors, that AI can make mistakes, or that human oversight remains important. Jogg Mini builds these ideas through questions, worlds, repetition, and rewards.
We also built Jogg Mini for adults. Parents need a way to guide children without turning every learning moment into a technical lecture. Teachers need a way to bring AI concepts into classrooms without collecting unnecessary child data or manually building every quiz from scratch. Teens need enough independence to learn seriously while keeping account boundaries clear.
Who Jogg Mini Is For
Jogg Mini supports several user types inside one app, while keeping their data and permissions separate.
Children aged 5-12 use parent-managed profiles. A parent creates the profile, chooses settings, manages time limits and reminders, reviews progress, assigns tasks, and controls deletion. The child learns through worlds, quizzes, Daily Quest, Arcade, badges, and certificates without needing their own Google or Apple account.
Teens aged 13-15 can use self-managed learner accounts where legally and technically supported. Teen accounts can keep their own progress, participate in quizzes, complete learning activities, and use the app with more independence. The design balances teen privacy with safety-focused boundaries and optional family oversight where configured.
Parents and guardians get a dedicated parent profile for managing children. A parent can add kids, invite a co-parent, load or remove a child profile from a device, set reminder and timeout controls, assign learning tasks, view canonical progress, review quiz and task results, monitor classroom activity, and permanently delete a child profile when necessary.
Co-parents can share family management when invited. Co-parent access is designed to read the same child progress and classroom/task activity as the primary parent, so the child profile is not fragmented between phones.
Teachers can create a teacher profile, create classrooms, share classroom codes, organize quizzes, assign classroom tasks, view results, remove students from a classroom, and save or share reports. Teachers do not create or control household child profiles. A classroom connection is code-based and scoped to learning activity.
Guests can try the app locally without cloud registration. Guest progress is stored on the device, which makes guest mode useful for parents who want to explore Jogg Mini before creating a family account. Because guest mode is local, uninstalling the app or clearing app data can remove guest progress.
The Learning World Model
Jogg Mini is built around ten themed learning worlds. Each world gives a topic an identity and a place, making it easier for young learners to remember what they are studying.

The worlds are not just decorative names. They are the content structure for the learning path. Progress, stars, world stats, difficulty distribution, and reports are all tied back to these learning worlds.
Core Learning Modes
Home gives the learner a daily starting point. It shows greeting, Stars, Gems, streak, accuracy, Daily Quest status, adventure worlds, and key progress signals.
Play lets the learner open any world, choose difficulty, answer questions, and build world progress. Each world has its own progress, question counts, stars, and per-world stats.
Daily Quest is a short five-question daily challenge. It has its own daily quest streak and badge path, separate from the broader learning streak. The daily quest is designed to build habit without requiring a long session.
Quiz Zone includes practice quizzes, organized quizzes, joined quizzes, quiz lobby, and history/report screens. Parent, teacher, and teen quiz organizers can create quizzes within the applicable account and subscription limits. Learners can join quizzes when allowed.
Arcade is a structured 100-level challenge path. Learners answer timed sets of questions and unlock new levels by meeting the passing requirement. Arcade gives children a game-like path while still using real learning questions.
My Tasks brings assigned work into one learner-facing surface. Parent tasks and classroom tasks appear together but are labelled by source, so the learner can tell whether the work came from a parent or teacher.
Progress shows the learner's canonical progress: Stars, Gems, Tier, learning streak, accuracy, weekly activity, world progress, questions passed/failed, learning time where available, badges, certificates, quiz statistics, and other learning records.
Badges and Certificates turn milestones into visible achievements. Certificates are motivational family learning records, not official school credentials.
Stars, Gems, Tiers and Streaks
Jogg Mini uses a canonical reward model so progress can be restored and compared consistently across app surfaces. Stars represent learning progress from approved activities. Gems are milestone rewards. Tiers summarize long-term Star progress. Badges recognize specific achievements such as welcome milestones, streak milestones, world progress, quiz performance, and certificate eligibility.
The app intentionally separates Daily Quest streak from the broader learning streak. Daily Quest streak advances when a submitted Daily Quest qualifies. The broader learning streak counts consecutive days with committed learning activity, such as Daily Quest, World Play, Quiz, Arcade, Parent Task, Teacher Quiz, Joined Quiz, or Classroom Task.
This matters because a learner may be active and learning even on a day they do not submit Daily Quest. The app uses the right streak for the right context: Daily Quest badges follow Daily Quest behavior, while Home and Progress can show the broader learning habit.
Parent and Co-Parent Controls
Parent controls are central to Jogg Mini. The parent dashboard is where adults can manage children, settings, progress, and safety.
Parents can:
- Add and manage child profiles
- Load a child profile onto a device
- Remove a child profile from a device without deleting the cloud profile
- Permanently delete a child profile from the family when required
- Invite a co-parent with email-bound invitation code/link flow
- Review Stars, Gems, Tier, streaks, accuracy, badges, worlds, tasks, quizzes and certificates
- Assign learning tasks to one child or multiple children
- Configure timeout/screen limits
- Configure reminders and notification preferences
- Control whether children can join quizzes
- See classroom activity for their child
- Remove their child from a classroom
Deletion is intentionally careful. Removing a child profile from a device is reversible; the parent can load that child back later. Permanently deleting a child profile removes the child from linked parent and co-parent views and is not treated as a simple local cleanup. If a parent deletes a child profile permanently, the app can return the device to local guest mode or clear local guest data depending on the option selected.
Co-parent support is designed for real family situations. A second parent can be invited to help manage the same child profile. The co-parent should see the same canonical child stats, classroom activity, tasks, quiz history, world progress, stars, badges, and reports, subject to the same authorized family scope.
Teacher and Classroom Tools
Jogg Mini gives teachers a classroom workflow without turning teachers into owners of children's household profiles.
Teachers can:
- Sign in with a provider account
- Optionally set a device-local teacher PIN
- Create classrooms with shareable classroom codes
- Use flexible grade labels, including custom grade text where needed
- Copy classroom codes easily
- Remove students from a classroom without banning them permanently
- Delete classroom tasks
- Delete classrooms when they are no longer needed
- Organize quizzes with fixed question IDs so participants receive the same test
- Assign classroom tasks with selected worlds, difficulties, question count, time limit, due date and due time
- View classroom task completion reports
- See per-student score, status, elapsed time, and answer review
- Save or share individual student reports and all-class results
Teacher access is scoped. A teacher can see the classroom membership and learning results needed to run that classroom, but not private family account controls. A parent can see that their child has joined a classroom, review classroom activity, and remove the child from that classroom if needed.
The freemium teacher/classroom model is useful but bounded. A freemium teacher can create up to 5 classrooms, up to 5 classroom tasks per classroom, and up to 10 students per classroom. Premium, Family, and Family BIG entitlements on the teacher account unlock full classroom access in the consumer app. School and Enterprise arrangements are available for organizations that need administrator roles, bulk student/classroom management, institutional consent workflows, retention controls, procurement, invoicing, and support commitments.
Quiz, Tasks and Reports
Jogg Mini treats reports as part of learning, not an afterthought. Quiz and task result screens are designed to show more than a score. Reports can show the questions attempted, what the learner selected, what was correct, which answers were missed, time taken, accuracy, and pass/fail state where relevant.
Organized quizzes and classroom tasks store fixed question IDs so the intended test is consistent. If a teacher or parent creates a task or quiz, learners should not receive random unrelated question sets. This is important for fairness, reporting, and adult review.
Results can be shared or saved from supported surfaces. Saved result files are user-created local exports and should be handled responsibly by the parent, teacher, teen, or recipient.
Notifications and Reminders
Jogg Mini uses notification categories because not every notification means the same thing. General app updates and normal reminders can use the standard notification counter. Parent and teacher task notifications use a blue task counter in the app so assigned work is easy to distinguish from ordinary messages.
Users can manage notification categories such as Daily Quest, daily reminders, quiz-join activity, and task notifications. Push notification delivery depends on device permissions, device registration, backend dispatch, network availability, and operating-system behavior. In-app notifications can appear even if the operating system does not show a notification in the device notification shade.
Privacy and Safety
Jogg Mini is built with children's privacy as a baseline requirement.
- Children under 13 cannot register themselves as independent cloud users
- Parent-managed child profiles do not require child email accounts
- No location data is collected
- No advertisements are shown
- Personal data is not sold for advertising
- Guest mode remains local-first
- Parent and teacher roles are separated
- Teachers cannot control household child profiles
- Parents retain child-profile controls
- Account and progression data use Supabase-backed authorization where cloud sync is enabled
- Product and policy controls are designed with COPPA/GDPR-aware practices
Accounts, Local Use and Recovery
Parents, teachers, and eligible teen learners use provider identity such as Google or Apple where available. Age classification and role routing are part of account setup so a child or teen is not accidentally placed into an adult parent flow.
Anonymous guest learning is local-first. It is useful for trying the app, but guest data can be lost if app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled. Registered and parent-managed cloud profiles can restore authorized progress snapshots and reward events where sync is available.
Device loading is separate from profile ownership. A child can be known to a parent account without being loaded as the active learner on a specific device. Removing a child from a device does not delete the child from the family. Permanent deletion is a stronger action and should be handled through parent-authorized controls.
Why AI Literacy Matters Now
AI literacy is becoming part of basic digital literacy. A child does not need to become an engineer to benefit from understanding examples, data, models, prompts, safety, fairness, and limitations. These concepts help children ask better questions, avoid blind trust, recognize mistakes, and use AI tools responsibly.
Jogg Mini makes this learning playful. Worlds make topics memorable. Quizzes create repetition. Stars and badges keep progress visible. Parent and teacher tools bring adults into the process without turning learning into surveillance. The design goal is not to make children chase points forever; it is to use game structure to build confidence, vocabulary, and responsible habits.
